Even though the reference in the second panel is horribly dated, I like it too much to rewrite it. Palm pilots were — circa 2002 — a handy handheld calendar, note-taking pocket device or what was referred to as a personal digital assistant. I got a Handspring as a gift back then – it was a really interesting device for the time, but it’s hard to explain why now that everyone has a super-computer in their pocket.
