by I hope Lev Grossman is right because The Magicians series is one of my favorite stories and I really really want to like the teevee series. The pilot is up on Youtube – the series starts on January 25th.

Update February 2018: Was this a bookmark post? Let’s call it a bookmark post. I’ve watched the first two seasons of The Magicians (the third is debuting now but I don’t have the right combination of streaming services to watch it yet) and it’s been entertaining. Besides aging everyone up into college (the books were set in highschool) they restructured the narrative in several ways and of course it’s never quite the same as you imagine the first time in your own mind’s eye, but the teevee show does decent justice to the books.
